TradingView heatmaps display real-time market data for stocks, crypto, ETFs, and forex, color-coded by performance, volume, or market cap so you can instantly identify the biggest movers. Below are five live embedded heatmaps covering each market type, with full instructions on how to customize each one.
This live stock heatmap from TradingView shows the S&P 500 data in real time. You can adjust the settings by using the top tool bar to customize the heatmap to your preferences.
Click the top left setting to switch the data source to the Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000 or any other stock index you what to view by using the search bar that pops up.
The second settings box from the left labeled Market Cap allows you to change how the data is displayed, based on market cap, volume, price multiplied by volume or select mono size to make all symbols the same size on the screen.
The third settings box from the left allows you to change how the coloring is decided. Choose from change percentages based on timeframe, performance percentages by timeframe, pre or post market change percentages, relative volume, daily volatility percentage of gap up/down percentage.
The fourth settings box from the left allows you to switch between grouping the stocks shown by market sector or no grouping which just organizes the stocks based on your other settings.

You can also zoom in on any part of the heatmap by scrolling up or zoom out by scrolling down with your mouse. Alternatively, you can zoom in or out on the heatmap by using the plus and minus icons on the right middle of the heatmap.
The bottom section with the filter settings icon allows you to customize the coloring of the heatmap so you can make it only highlight companies data markers meet the thresholds provided in the filter settings. This is extremely useful for finding stocks that have made big gains or losses or have high volume.
The far right corner of the bottom row also has a status icon that will show you if the heatmap data is real time such as when the stock market is currently open, or if the data is showing values from the most recent market close.
You can use this heatmap to quickly find large winners and losers of the stock market so you can look at the charts for those assets and decide whether they are prime candidates to trade or not. Customize all of your settings so that your heatmap only shows you the most useful information and notifies you of the stocks with the biggest movements and highest volume. Then use your best Tradingview indicators to figure out when and where to trade those stocks.

This live ETF (exchange traded funds) heatmap from TradingView shows real time data of ETFs based on the country and other customization options selected.
You can adjust the settings by using the top tool bar to customize the heatmap to your exact style.
Click the top left setting to switch the data source to whatever country you would like to see ETF data for. The default settings is USA, but this can be changed to many other countries by clicking on or searching for the country of your choice.

TradingView has fully optimized the Forex heatmap so it does not have any available customization options.
To use this heatmap, watch the heatmap for currency pairs to turn red or green. The stronger the pair is, the brighter green it will show and the weaker the currency pair is, the brighter red the currency pair will show.
This heatmap makes it easy to spot strong markets as well as weak markets so you can look for trading opportunities on those markets. Strong markets are prime for trading price action.
TradingView has optimized the Forex correlation heatmap to not need any customization options. Therefore, there is nothing to customize.
To use this heatmap effectively, watch the heatmap for currency pairs to turn red or green. This color change represents the value of that currency changing compared to the value of the other currency it is being compared against. This can signal a reversal or continued trend which can provide good trading opportunities.
Yes. TradingView heatmaps are available to all users including free accounts. You do not need a paid plan to access or customize the stock, crypto, ETF, or forex heatmaps.
It depends on the market and your TradingView plan. When the market is open, heatmap data updates in real time for most users. When the market is closed, the heatmap displays data from the most recent session close. The status icon in the bottom right corner of each heatmap shows whether the data is live or from the last close.
